Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026
A New Building for a Changing Society
A landmark living-learning and civic space at Ukrainian Catholic University, created to equip people and institutions for Ukraine’s recovery and renewal.
Why it matters
Ukraine’s recovery depends on people — educated, empowered, connected, and ready to rebuild. The National Unity Center brings together learning, leadership, reintegration, and international cooperation in one shared space.
Rooted in UCU’s campus development, it is built to strengthen the people, partnerships, and institutions Ukraine needs for its future.

Focused formats for rapid upskilling, reskilling, training, formation, networking, and the exchange of experience across sectors.
Who it serves
The project

Design expertise
The initial conceptual study of the future National Unity Center was performed pro bono by the renowned Behnisch Architekten office in 2024. The project site is located directly next to the UCU campus.
The building is planned as a seven-story campus addition that combines teaching, living, collaboration, and shared gathering spaces in one coherent architectural system.

Our vision
At the National Unity Center, people will meet, learn, build trust, and turn shared values into action.
Green technologies
Environmental performance is integrated directly into the building’s design logic — improving comfort, reducing demand, and shaping a resilient campus environment.
Reduces summer heat gain and helps keep interiors comfortable while lowering energy demand.
South-facing PV panels generate renewable energy for a lower-carbon campus environment.
Perforated elements preserve daylight, views, and comfort for people inside the building.
